News and Notes

Dan is dedicated to evolving narrative improvisation and sharing it across the global improv community through performance, direction, and education. This past spring, he spent a vibrant month in Italy, collaborating with Coffee Brecht in Naples, teaching workshops for Assetto Teatro and Manallarte in Rome, and performing at the Welcome! Festival with the critically acclaimed company I Bugiardini. During his time there, he also appeared as a guest star on Emily in Paris.

He went on to headline six sold-out shows at the Piccolo Fringe Festival in Charleston with Tennessee Williams UnScripted and Doozy!. Additional recent highlights include producing and performing in a celebrated evening of LA Theatresports, teaching at The Hideout in Austin, collaborating with Jane Austen Improvised, and co-directing a sold-out run of Jane Austen UnScripted at the Garry Marshall Theatre. He also returned this summer to teach workshops for the Joint Special Operations Command.

In the fall, Dan taught two sold-out two-day intensives in Narrative and Genre Improvisation for London’s Free Association, where he also directed their house narrative team. Throughout September and October, he worked with Dad’s Garage in Atlanta, Front Porch Improv in Savannah, Adesto in Asheville, and Theatre 99 in Charleston. He also teamed up with his favorite improviser—and partner in life—Edi Patterson to perform in the Synthetic Theatre project in Charleston alongside Danny McBride and digital artist Beeple.

Dan is currently booking shows, classes, and intensives across the US and Europe for 2026. For inquiries or bookings, please reach out via the contact page.
