Director
Dan O'Connor began his directing career at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco when he was 14 directing a pair of 16 year-olds playing Oscar and Felix in "The Odd Couple". Since then he has directed hundreds of shows for LA Theatresports and Impro Theatre including "Shakespeare UnScripted" which recently toured to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, "Triple Play-a play, a movie and a musical completely improvised!" at Theatre/Theater.
In the last few years Dan has directed "Sons and Daughters" a Broadway Video/Universal NBC one-hour hybrid for ABC and "Campus Ladies" a Principato/Young production for Oxygen. Currently he is working with David Steinberg on "Hollywood Crime Squad" a hybrid pilot about the ticklish underbelly of Hollywood as well as co-directing "Jane Austen UnScripted" with Paul Rogan for Impro Theatre's run at the Theatre Asylum from October 10-November 16th www.improtheatre.com.
This past fall Dan travelled to Australia to direct "Sondheim UnScripted" for Impro Melbourne at the Melbourne Fringe.
Recently he co-directed the completely sold-out run of Jane Austen UnScripted with Paul Rogan at the the Broad Stage in Santa Monica.
